Classification of your projects using capital budgeting tells you what projects to carry through. This application use methods such as Net present Value, Payback period and Equivalent Annual Cost to rate your investment alternatives. The result can then be reviewed in plots or as numbers.

Choosing between the projects are then as simple as:
The higher the Net Present Value the better.
The higher the Equivalent Annual Cost the better.
The lower the Payback Period the better.
